Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Anchored platform (website, applications, and related services). By registering or using Anchored, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Anchored provides an online marketplace for maritime recruitment. Seafarers may publish availability, apply to vacancies, and manage documents. Companies may post vacancies, review candidates, and manage fleet information. We do not employ users and are not a crewing agency unless explicitly stated in a separate agreement.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You represent that information you provide is accurate and that you have authority to act on behalf of any company you register.
3. Accounts
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
- You must notify us promptly of unauthorized access to your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
4. User content
You retain ownership of content you upload (profiles, CVs, job posts). You grant Anchored a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and process that content solely to operate the service. You must not upload unlawful, misleading, or infringing material.
5. Recruitment disclaimer
Anchored facilitates introductions between seafarers and companies. We do not guarantee employment, contract terms, or the accuracy of third-party listings. Hiring decisions and maritime compliance (certificates, visas, medical fitness) remain the responsibility of users.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for spam, scraping, or automated abuse.
- Harass, discriminate, or misrepresent qualifications.
- Attempt to breach security or access data you are not authorized to view.
- Reverse engineer or resell the service without permission.
7. Fees
Some features may be free or paid as described on the site. We may change pricing with notice. Taxes may apply according to your location.
8. Intellectual property
Anchored’s brand, software, and design are protected. You may not use our trademarks without written consent.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Anchored is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 100 if you paid nothing.
10. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Anchored against claims arising from your content, your use of the service, or your breach of these Terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access with notice where reasonable. Provisions that should survive (liability limits, indemnity, governing law) remain in effect.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tbilisi, Georgia, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
